all to my favorite things

My pets!  They always make me smile and feel love.

My beloved Tugar.  She's over 13!  Still my baby though.  Yes, she's very much a fatty boombalatty.  :-)

My pooch, Zoey - the day I got her on July 12, 2003

The cutest pink nosed and pink toed, fuzzy spotty tummy kitten - Kirby.

Mustang Stacy - ride, Stacy, ride!

This car is a reminder of what a great manifestor I am.  I wanted this car for years and years and now it is finally mine!  And it is so much fun to drive.

I heart Elvis!

I'm really a big time Elvis fan.  I go to Memphis every year for Elvis Week.  I have an Elvis room in my house (I'm not really a formal dining room sort of gal).  One year during Elvis week I finally bought this cardboard cut out of Elvis and had a lot of fun taking pictures with it.

Somehow, about a year ago I became obsessed with pink piglets.  They seemed to be everywhere - commercials, movies.  And I decided I really, really wanted to play and pet some.  It was the Law of Attraction at work because I out of the blue met someone who so happened to want to play with piglets and ended up having a connection to a nearish by place where we had access to load of baby pink piglets.  These are my favorite pictures from that day.  As you can see I was EXTREMELY happy.  I had my dream come true - pink piglet snout nuzzling my neck!  It just don't get better than that!

I love to travel!  Some of my favorite places to go are:  Paris, France; New York City and any good beach.  Oh, and any time in Europe is a great time for me!  :-)

I love Paris.  It's my favorite place!  For a few years now I've managed to take a great trip on my birthday.  These pictures of Paris and the Eiffel Tower were taken during a two week trip in 2005.  And these pictures were taken on the day of my 29th birthday.  For some reason I was a bit unnerved about turning 29 but spending the day in my favorite city and at my favorite monument helped me feel much better.  We literally spent the entire day at the Eiffel Tower.  First getting pictures of it in the background.   Then hanging out in the grassy area under the Tower.  And finally hours actually on the Tower.  We timed it perfectly so that we were there during the day and through dusk until the lights were on and flashing on the tower at night.

And I really love the Eiffel Tower.  Just looking at pictures of it makes me feel so good.

Ahhh, I love the beach!  I feel off if I haven't had time at the beach in a while.  I think it's the ocean.  It's incredibly soothing.  The pic below and the top one were taken in Cancun in Oct. 2008.  I credit that time with getting back to the Teachings of Abraham.  I read their latest book "Money and the Law of Attraction" during that vacation and it really resonated.  The other pic was from April of 2004 - in the Bahamas.  That was a truly awesome trip - pure relaxation and rest.

I heart New York!  There is just such a great energy to that city.  It's just such a fun place to visit and there is so much to do.  And I love to take pictures and NYC is a great place for that (as is Paris and Europe of course).  I've been known to take hundreds of pictures within 4 days.  Gotta love digital cameras and memory cards!  The picture to the side of the Statue of Liberty was taken with my camera.  I was very pleased with the zoom on that thing.  As you can tell by the sky - that picture was taken a different day than the other two.  The one with the gray sky was taken on my first trip.  The others were taken on my second (and so far, last trip).  And those were on my birthday - 30th at that.  Great way to spend a birthday!

The Dancing Penguins!

I love Mary Poppins.  And I've always especially loved those dancing penguins.  And check out the For Laughing out Loud section for a video from Mary Poppins.

A list of links to things I adore

Dave Barry   - I first read a book by him (getting it randomly) called "Dave Barry's Guide To Guys".  That book was one of the funniest things I've ever read.  Dave Barry has many books (both non-fiction and even novels) and has been a humor columnist for the Miami Herald for years.  In fact, I used to look forward to Mondays because that was when I would see the latest Dave Barry column.  I believe he is now retired/semi-retired and don't think he does a column every week.  But check out the link above for some of his best columns as archived at the Miami Herald site.

The Abe Forum - as I mentioned before I really love this forum.  I've met great people and have really gotten so much further in my understanding of the law of the Universe and Law of Attraction through this forum.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show - I've always been a fan of Ellen's standup.  I now watch her talk show each weekday.  Every single show, without fail, makes me laugh out loud and feel good.

The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich - Man alive, I love these novels.  They are laugh out loud funny and so entertaining.  I often go back and start from the first book and reread them all when I feel in need of a lot of laughter and fun.  I am looking forward to the next installment.

The Big Bang Theory - Seriously my favorite show right now.  It's a reason to look forward to Mondays.  I think I feel a particular fondness for it because I first "discovered" it while on a great vacation at the beach in Cancun, Mexico.

A few other things I love (though may not have photos or links for):

Laughing until my stomach hurts and I'm crying

Dancing - the goofier the better

Singing out loud - in the car, in the shower, to my pets.  There is something so cathartic about belting out a good tune.  (Check out some of my favorite songs in the Favorite Songs section.)

Rollercoasters - I love those whoosy feeling in my stomach during the flips of a rollercoaster.  I live near a Six Flags and am quite the rollercoaster fanatic.  That's usually all I ride when I'm there.

Swings - same concept as rollercoasters.  I love that feeling in my stomach.  Plus I love the carefree-ness that being on swings elicits.  I recently went on a hunt for a park nearby with swings.  I'm happy to say I found such a place.  Even has a little man made lake in this park too.

All types of baby animals - seriously is there anything better than puppies and kittens and all sorts of baby animals.  I have and will continue to put up just those sorts of pictures in the Cute Stuff section of this site.

Music - especially the genre known as Hair Metal.  I still love that music and it's my absolute favorite even though it's past its heyday.  My favorite is Guns n Roses.

Stand Up Comedy - this goes along with just loving to laugh.  I'll post some of my favorite bits over in the Laugh out Loud section.
